United Association of American Dancers

 

United Association of American Dancers (UAAD) is combined by the artists of different ethnic groups across the United States. As part of “United Association” family, the UAAD members recruit dancers from different ethnic groups. They are together excavating, promoting and demonstrating excellent intangible cultural heritage and tradition.

The base of UAAD is located in the City of San Jose (Silicon Valley), south of the San Francisco Bay Area - one of the world-renowned centers for arts and culture. It is under the leadership of Arts Council San Jose. For quite long time, the UAAD members have involved in cultural exchanges and various events in and outside of the nation. The UAAD Performing Team has also been invited to perform in all kinds of celebrations, charity performances for non-profit organizations.

 

The UAAD has several branches overseas (mainly in Latin America), respectively in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela in addition to USA. With support from the Arts Council San Jose, the UAAD successfully hosted international dance festivals and competitions collaborate with different arts and culture organizations, professional groups and universities to foster the utmost diversified development of the arts of dancing.
