United – Santa Clara International Dance Festival

Festival Objective

 

The United – Santa Clara International Dance Festival (USCIDF) is a collaborative effort between the Santa Clara University, Theatre and Dance Department and United Association of American Dancers. The festival is usually held in August, on the Santa Clara University campus, Santa Clara, California, USA. The mission of the Festival is to encourage excellence in the art of dance and cultural exchange between international dance artists. Furthermore, the festival will promote diversity in dance with educational opportunities to include professional dance classes in a variety of genres. It is the sincere hope of the Festival Committee that our festival will provide all participants a unique opportunity to enrich and further their professional training and artistry.

 

USCIDF Application and Related Information

 

A. Early application and Early Registration are encouraged.  To guarantee your acceptance, you should complete your registration by submitting a completed application form with the payment of the registration fee (non-fundable): (Click here for Application)

Competition:  Solo: $20   Small Group: $60    Large Group: $100      

Showcase:    Solo: $15     Small Group: $35    Large Group: $50

B. Competition/performance time will be email/mailed to you/your school/ instructors

 

Related Information (apply to all applications):

    A,  All participants must complete application form (Click for Application).

   B,  Complete application must be submitted with a photocopy of applicant’s (or the director’s) identification card.

   C,  Participants are responsible for their music used during the event.

   D, All stages of the competition may be recorded and/or video recorded as authorized by the competition

       organizing committee, which retains the exclusive rights of all audio and video recordings. Recording or video

       tapping during the competition is strictly forbidden.
